It’s a balancing act which I don’t want to take part in. But it is interesting to see how far they will take it and when more people will start disagreeing. Why people are ok with that for a full price game is beyond me to be honest. Nobody asked for a battlepass, yet there it is. I think it’s why they now want you to pre-order for the super duper extreme battlepass. I have no doubt Blizzard will take advantage of their experience in making money with Immortal and will apply as much as their audience will tolerate to D4 (and other future game releases). You can argue DI is for a different audience, its a separate team, its a mobile game or whatever, it is still made by the same company that is fully OK with Immortal. I used to be a huge Diablo fan, but I can’t even legally play Immortal because of its predatory design.
